Charles spent the summer in New Orleans directing the independent feature — Heart of the Storm for Green/Bacino. The film premiered at the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival and has since aired on national TV in North America.

During prep he bought a great old motorcycle. After wrap his son Pablo flew down and they rode/camped back to Vancouver up the west coast of the continent, a trip that was featured on the cover of their favourite bike magazine — Airmail.

Preparations for the book launch of The Working Director are currently under way, many many thanks to Catherine and Bronwen at the best movie bookstore ever — Biz Books in Vancouver for all their help and encouragement.

Charles recently joined the faculty of Capilano College Film Studies in Vancouver where he consults and teaches film, as time permits. Even stranger, he's most of the way through a masters degree in Film Studies at the University of BC.

Charles continues to be active in television, and has long form projects in development for filming this spring/summer.
